Tablescaping and Guest Gifting from the Garden

Growing herbs, like mint, oregano and thyme not only brighten so many of the dishes in the kitchen, but are also fragrant greens that can be worked into floral arrangements and centerpieces for entertaining. Immersed in the planning of my garden celebration, I noticed that my kitchen garden, (instead of herb) needed to be trimmed. I took the opportunity to harvest my herbs and work them into my decor for the evening with homemade herb bundles for the table.

“The herb bundles became the feature of my fresh, green tablescape.” I added ferns and candles for accent and ambience. Plus the heat from the candles, warmed the herbal centerpiece, creating delicious aromatics throughout the evening for my guests to enjoy and at the end of the night, they were invited to take home their very own herb bundle.

The simple and necessary act of trimming my garden herbs created the inspiration for an unique, multi-sensory tablescape, plus the added bonus of a gift for my guests at the end of the night.
