Use Your Creativity to Source a Unique Signature Cocktail for Your Next Event

When I am planning an intimate dinner for twelve or less, I like to begin the night with a unified statement, rather than the distraction of too many cocktail choices. The last two events I produced included just one special signature cocktail to launch the evening. The liquor featured below, had the starring role in the signature cocktail I created to celebrate a lovely 50th birthday.

Ortolan Rosolio is a California-crafted aperitif made from over 30 varieties of sustainably sourced heirloom roses. The rose and other botanicals created the base for a very romantic and feminine version of the Aperol Spritz.

Make it yourself:

  • Using a wine or champagne flute with or without ice.

  • Add one part Ortolan Rosolio.

  • Add 1 part club soda, I love the Fever Tree brand.

  • Add 1 part Prosecco or sparkling rose’.

  • Garnish with dried rose petals and serve.
